Frank Sinatra played softball on the weekends on a team called the "Sinatra Swooners". The celebrity team included actors Anthony Quinn, Barry Sullivan and song writers Sammy Cahn and Julie Styne. The teams cheerleaders were Virginia Mayo, Marilyn Maxwell, Shelly Winters and Ava Gardner. They played at the Hollywood Bowl field.
